Full time - Manhattan Compensation - Hourly/Salary (based on experience) + quarterly bonuses JOB DESCRIPTION We’re looking for an experienced Finish Carpenter/Foreman who loves their work, has exceptional attention to detail, and can take direction as well as give it. You’ll be running a small team of carpenters and wear different hats, ranging from installing doors, coffered ceilings, and cabinetry to revamping completely gutted spaces. So, you’ll be “on the tools” daily. West Village GC is a low-volume, high-touch company that exclusively serves wealthy individuals. Responsibilities: - Oversee all aspects of multiple construction jobs: project planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating with contractors, and doing the work - Interfacing with all trades, scheduling deliveries, coordinating access, and other logistics - Allocate resources for assigned projects - Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors - Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients - Maintain high standards of craftsmanship that adhere to original specifications. REQUIREMENTS ▶ PLEASE NOTE: This is not an entry-level assistant position.
