CASH PRIZES go to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for largest Walleye or Northern Pike! The Cape Vincent Chamber of Commerce Spring Fishing Derby will be held on Saturday, May 29th. There will be prizes awarded for largest Walleye or Northern Pike. A formula of length multiplied by weight will be utilized to score each fish. Example: 30 inches x 12 pounds would hold a score of 360. MASKS & SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIRED 1. Each person in the boat must be registered. The registration fee is $25.00 and you must register before Saturday, May 29th, 2021 2. You must have a valid NY State Fishing license to register. 3. No frozen fish will be accepted. Fish may be scaled and entered one time. 4. Fish must be 1 inch larger than the legal limit length to enter. 5. Weigh in is at the Chamber office, 173 N James Street. Hours are 9 am until 4:30 pm and prizes will be awarded in front of the Chamber at 5:00 pm. Must be present to win. Register In-Person Starting May 1st Cape Vincent – Chamber of Commerce office, Cape Vincent Liquor Store Alex Bay – Thousand Islands Bait Store Mud Bay – Snug Harbor Chaumont – Chaumont Hardware Dexter – B&J Bait Shop There will be a FREE Kid’s Perch division for children 15 and under. Kids must be registered. A Lifetime NY State Fishing license will be the prize for the kids division. Must be a resident of NY State.
