Ascend Cycle is hosting a charity ride and vendor pop-up shop on Saturday, May 1st in partnership with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Ascend Cycle is proud to be partnering Kristen Anderson and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on Saturday, May 1st for a DJ charity ride and a vendor pop-up shop fundraiser. This event will be held at the Ascend Garage (2903 Mt. Vernon Ave) from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tickets will be released on Monday, April 19th at 8 a.m. Masks will be required at the event aside from participants during the ride and any eating/drinking. We are excited to offer two ticket options for event goers! VIP Supporter Ticket: The VIP tickets include a DJ Charity Ride, a swag bag, and 1 raffle ticket. (Select your ride time on the ticket page.) Please arrive 15mins before your ride start time. A pair of plug-in headphones and sneakers are required to ride. The sound system is run via silent disco technology, we will provide you with a receiver to use with your plug-in headphones for our DJ's jams! Your own spin shoes, water bottle, and towel are encouraged. Making a Difference Ticket: This general admission ticket gives you access to the event and includes 1 raffle ticket. Our rider, Kristen Anderson, Advertising Director at Washingtonian Magazine and an Alexandria native, is running as a candidate in Woman of the Year campaign to raise money for LLS and we have put together a fun afternoon for the community in collaboration with Blonde in the District, LLS and Kristen's campaign. *All proceeds from the charity rides and the donations secured during the fundraiser will go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, on behalf of Kristen’s campaign. SCHEDULE 11:00 a.m. - Event starts! First Charity Ride with DJ Ricardo begins. 12:00 p.m. - Opening remarks and first raffle drawing. Second Charity Ride with DJ Ricardo begins. 1:00 p.m. - Second raffle drawing 1:45 p.m. - Closing remarks and third raffle drawing. The pop-up vendors plus food and drinks will be available to shop at for the entirety of the event. Raffle winners must be present if their ticket is called at one of the drawings.
