Course consists of 5 consecutive Monday's Important Notice: Due to COVID-19, specific restrictions and preventative measures have been placed to safely resume our in-person classes: Classes will take place in the East Campus Auditorium, away from all clinical areas of the hospital. Attendance will be limited to 10 registrants per class (attendees may bring a plus one) that proper social distancing can take place. Face masks must be worn at all times.If you have a fever or feel ill, please do not attend courses. For paid classes, refunds will be given to those that suspect they are COVID-19 positive or have recently been exposed to a COVID-19 positive patient prior to the course starting. Prepared Childbirth Classes Take a positive step in your pregnancy and plan to attend a special delivery class. Only expectant Mothers should register for class before their 24th week (6th month) of pregnancy to ensure a space. The Childbirth Preparation Class covers a variety of information including:  labor, delivery, cesarean section, anesthesia options, relaxation techniques, breast and bottle feeding, newborn appearance and procedures. Fee includes mother-to-be and one person (coach) to attend all five classes (held consecutively on Monday's). Enroll on-line by selecting and paying for the class -- fees are non-refundable.  The receipt (or email confirmation) serves as entry into the class.   Please Note: There is room for you and one additional person to attend class.  For more information, please call 432-582-8280. Location: This class is located in the East Campus Auditorium.  This is at the corner of 5th and Adams Street.  Due to current visitor restrictions, the only available entrance point is through the ER main entrance (Between Muskingum & Adams). Please enter through the main ER entrance where you will be quickly screened and directed to the main lobby. You will pass the cafeteria, continue down the hallway and the auditorium will be in the double doors at the very end of the hallway. Parking: Please do not park in the designated ER patient parking. Visitor parking is available to the South of hospital or to the East. These lots are clearly labeled with ORMC Parking signs. Do not park on private parking lots of other physician offices, proper signage is posted and they could tow your vehicle.
