I heard on national television from various commentators "What can you do to make a change?" "Why haven't you done something?" Well, I am going to reach out for the 99th time but in a different venue. Because of financial issues, possibly the final time. So I have some gorgeous acreage not far from Portland. A place that has been a place of healing for many years. But some not so nice people and others want this property. I and others have envisioned to keep this as a sanctuary for mostly minority children. Possibly for many foster children.. A place where children can go and heal by being away from the city with therapy horses, therapy dogs, puppies and more. Maybe take in some fishing, or learn to ride some ponies or just slide down a hill on the grass and straw or just sit and stare at the sky and dream. So I need to finish raising around 780k. Immediately would be nice. But even 100k or more may suffice to get some people satisfied until I reach 780k. I have over 1.7 mil. and 60 some years invested. Any ideas? Do you know someone with money to invest in children, inner city children that need to escape occasionally from bad situations. Maybe you know of a financial Grant. Maybe you know someone at Nike, the Trailblazers or other nice folks with funds to invest in children. Maybe a local station would mention something good and someone or many someones can help with a few dollars for children. Maybe a fundraiser? Some will ask "where specifically is this place?", but for those mentioned, that would not make it a safe sanctuary. Obviously the whole world doesn't need to know. Just parents, donors etc. Please Help with any good ideas.
