Join in on a fun Drive-In Movie Night featuring "The Princess Bride" and dinner from 10Q Chicken Autobarn Evanston, Ward Manufacturing , Byline Bank and The Davis Theater are hosting a family-friendly drive-in movie and dinner event to benefit the The Rotary Club of Evanston and the Rotary Club of Evanston Lighthouse. Join us on Friday, April 30th for a screening of Rob Reiner's "The Princess Bride" and get dinner from 10Q Chicken to complete the experience! The movie starts at 7:45pm so please arrive at least 30 minutes before hand. We are also featuring before each movie a preview of “FIRSTHAND: Living in Poverty” from WTTW/Chicago PBS. Each documentary short runs about 15 minutes and focuses on poverty seen through the eyes of Chicagoans with firsthand experience. The series highlights five people experiencing intergenerational poverty. They are struggling, but striving in the face of daily challenges that make their circumstances difficult to escape. We are grateful for this opportunity to share these stories at our Evanston Loves Rotary movie events as Rotary International Rotary is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world! Proceeds of this event will benefit the Rotary Clubs of Evanston to distribute to local nonprofits that have not been able to fundraise through events and campaigns due to the pandemic. Tickets Each movie ticket is $30 and is good for one vehicle with up to 6 people. *Limited scholarships for this event available. Please email [email protected] **Rules & Regulations to Keep You Safe** Arrive between 7:00pm – 7:30pm to ensure a parking spot. First come first serve for parking spot. Gates close at 7:30pm; movie starts at 7:45pm. Enter from Howard Street to check in and pick up your meal if ordered. Take the access road on the west end of the shopping plaza closest to Jewel and go toward Vineyard Church. Go right before the church and continue to the Autobarn Service Center (2201 Autobarn Place) Maximum capacity is 70 vehicles. There will be 8' to 12' space between vehicles. Attendees must stay within the confines of their vehicle as much as possible. For example, attendees may sit in the bed of their truck or back of a van or get out of the car to sit on chairs in front of the vehicle as long as it is within the the allocated space and is at least 6 ft from other vehicles. Bathrooms available inside Autobarn Service Center. Masks required and please abide by current health guideline of practicing at least 6 ft social distancing when outside of your vehicle. Please bring your blankets! We will be asking that you turn off our car during the movie to keep in line with one of Rotary Internationals six areas of focus; a heathy environment. Please note the event is weather permitting. Tickets are non-refundable. Once you register you will receive additional information about the drive-in logistics.
