Description

Join us for another amazing dinner celebrating the best chefs in the business Sip and savor with The Justice League of Food, a local non-profit that educates and inspires at-risk youth in the culinary arts! ~~Featured Chef~~With more than 20 years of culinary experience in California, Arizona, Chicago, New York City, Minneapolis, the Caribbean and beyond—and under chefs including Grant Achatz and David Burke and Micheal Mina—Ken VanMilligen landed at St. Kilda after his wife, Tyler (“I married a woman way out of my league, he says”) matched for her psychiatric residency at Mercy Hospital. In the past, he admits he took the hardest job he could find and worked tirelessly until a better offer arose, then moved on. Well into his 30s, VanMilligen admits he worked hard and played hard, that is, until the birth of my first child. He now strives for balance and healthy relationships, and aims to create a safe, healthy, supportive place to work for all of the employees he hires and mentors at the St. Kilda brands. VanMilligen defines himself as a “proud girl dad to Porter, Isabelle, and Charlotte who loves nothing more than taking his girls for bike rides and ice cream and receives a paycheck for trying to make people happy with delicious, colorful, fresh food.” ~~Meal Information~~All dinners will include pre-dinner wine and beer samplings and a wine and/or beer pairing with each course.
