Hi, I am in search of the just the "right" band... to serve as a performing artist for an upcoming festival (2 days) of various artists, some are solo singer songwriters that need a backup band to play for some of their sets. The band would also get a time slot to showcase their own set. Prefer a cover band, simply because good cover bands tend to adopt the style and feel of the original to a degree. Of course specific genre band that can easily cross genres is great as well. This will be a paid gig for the right band. Think of it as being the house backup band for the contestants on the "The Voice". I say with for good reason. We have at least 4 performers from the Voice and American Idol. It's simple economics too, we do not want to pay the entire band to come out to California to perform 4 or 5 songs, while the artist does the remainder of the set solo. I am not at liberty to share the names as yet until we are contractually complete, but they are an awesome group of artists from around the USA, one who made it to semifinalist status.
