Introduction: We gather to tell a story. Its storyline will give us a glimpse into the heart of God’s activity in His world and in His people. Along the way we may have moments of rediscovering the purposes behind the dynamics of our own stories. These occur when we see through the Storyteller’s lenses. We have each sought to make sense of it all, but we come with an openness to listen. We step back to reimagine as the Storyteller discloses Himself and we see ourselves in His reflection. This may be a new activity for many, but it positions us to personally encounter God, rather than obtain an intellectual understanding or a proof through which we may justify ourselves. We have each gone our own ways and are welcomed to strike up conversation with the One who calls Himself our Father. Through story, we will be reintroduced to Him. We too may come to trust His heart as we come to know Him. Today is just a beginning. May our story inspire reflection and lead us to authentic connection.
