Description
True rescues don't live off reselling your unwanted animals nor beg for them on craigslist, that would be called a flipper since they acquire cheap or free with the intent to quickly resell for a higher price.
True rescues are government recognized and have 501c3 status proving them a non-profit organization.
If you pay attention to sales ads vs "rescue" and "let me rehome your outcasts" beg ads, you will notice matching photos and distinct backgrounds of the profit hunters.
If you must give away or dump your animals, google local rescues so you can see their proof and legitimacy, or call a local veterinary clinic since they would know trustworthy places especially since true rescues are frequently having animals in need of vet care dumped on them so they would be visiting clinics a lot.
Or at least take them to a non-chain pet store who would also have a frequent vet or even all necessary supplies already at hand for use.
