Description
In 1955, in spite of overwhelming evidence of their guilt, the men who murdered 14 year old Emmitt Till were found not guilty by an all white jury.
This was an injustice, and it certainly was not appropriate to "respect the law."
If Derek Chauvin is found not guilty of the murder of George Floyd, it will be in spite of overwhelming video evidence.
It would not be appropriate to accept or respect such a verdict.
Violent protests will not solve anything, but accepting an unjust verdict is not an option.
