Looking to start a Blues/Funk band

I’m interested in starting a band here in town. Practically speaking, I’d like to start with covers and we can do originals in the future if the opportunity arises. I’m a big fan of blues/funk/soul. Essentially anything with a good rhythm that makes you feel. Some of my favorite artists are: BB king The doors James Brown Muddy Waters Marvin Gaye D’Angelo Prince Grateful Dead etc. I’d like to take lead vocals, so we’d need to fill drums, bass, keys, and guitar. I’m 23 if that’s important to you, but any age is welcome. This is just a feeler to gauge interest. You don’t need to be an expert with your instrument, just believe in your abilities to play. The goal is to have fun. I’ve never been in a band so don’t feel intimidated to hit me up!
