Hello, I want to find some like minded musicians to create a kick ass band. I have been playing for over 45 years (I'm 59). I have played in many bands, but took a hiatus during Covid-19. I'd like to get back to playing again. I love a variety of music and I'm looking to play an eclectic mix of tunes - including a mix of covers and throwing in an original or two here and there. I'd like to come up with a playlist after the band is together. Here is a list of a few tunes I would like to put on the list: Kings of Leon - Use Somebody Rock Candy - Montrose The Stoke - Billy Squire Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams NIN/Johnny Cash - Hurt Katrina and The Waves - Walking on Sunshine Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over I'm listing older songs (I love 60s, 70s, 80s as well) because I play guitar and new music is less guitar focused. That being said I'm flexible and want to create a set list that includes a mix of interests/likes of all band mates. I'm looking for lead vocalist (Female or male - or both) Bass Player Drummer Keyboards and/or 2nd guitar I want to find musicians who have a good sense of humor, who like to have fun, and love setting a grove and being in the pocket. I expect band mates to learn their parts in advance and to take rehearsal seriously (at least 17% of the time). Hanging with people that I enjoy being around is important, so not looking for big egos, hot heads, or folks who take themselves too seriously. If you are into Trump and his shenanigans we would not be a good fit. Must be dependable, have transportation and quality gear.
