Immediate Opening NOW HIRING: Auto Parts Order Fulfillment / Shipping Assistant Monday-Friday 9-4 and Saturday 9-1 Shipping Assistant Wanted Candidate will be responsible for physical and clerical tasks associated with packaging and outbound shipping of on-line customer orders to domestic and international clients. Duties include pulling auto parts inventory from warehouse shelves per order pick-lists, packaging / sealing / labeling the orders for delivery using our preferred carriers of USPS, FedEx, R&L Carriers and ensuring each order’s timely dispatch. This position is hourly (non-exempt.) Primary Duties: • Ensure that assigned orders received by the company are packaged and shipped to the client as quickly and as error free as possible. • Reviews orders for accuracy, identifies and addresses any errors or overages in customer shipping charges according to company procedures. • Light prepping of items before shipment. • Correctly placing items on pallets. • Politely notify customers of delays or exceptions to fulfillment of their orders • Understand and comply with all domestic and international documentation requirements, including customs declarations. • Approach each day with a customer-first attitude. Requirements: • Must be 18+ yrs of age to apply. • You must be able to stand and walk for your entire shift. • Requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs • Be a detail oriented individual. • Requires reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. • Excellent attendance record • Must have experience with Windows computing and / web browsing. • Must have good telephone and electronic communication skills. • Must have experience in automotive mechanics, parts warehousing or parts sales (Must be able to distinguish a starter from an alternator, or a fuel pump from a water pump for example) • Requires the ability to bend, twist, stand and climb stairs to perform normal job functions. • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers by telephone or email. • Requires the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner. • Requires the ability to drive a company vehicle safely (as applicable) Previous experience with the following is highly valued: • Ebay / Independent Amazon sales and fulfilment. • Use of FedEx.com • Use of USPS.com • Shipworks • Automotive warehouse or parts sales • General construction capabilities (building light-weight shipping boxes / containers from wood and cardboard) About Us: Midwest Bayless is the North America’s longest standing retailer of classic Fiat and Lancia auto parts.
