Local refuse company seeks skilled mechanic to join our growing team. Multiple shifts available maintaining and repairing our growing fleet of refuse vehicles (front load, rear load, and roll off). Compensation based on experience and ability. Requirements: •Performing routine and advanced maintenance of a refuse fleet - including hydraulic systems, air systems, brakes, suspension, electrical, exhaust, engines, transmissions and tires. •Perform scheduled maintenance and annual DOT inspections. •Basic computer skills with the ability to use computer guided diagnostics and document all repairs. •Roadside assistance with the ability to work in inclement weather if required. •Welding and fabricating skills are a plus but not required. •Ability to maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications: •Minimum 2 years' experience repairing and maintaining diesel and/or refuse vehicles. •Valid driver's license (CDL a plus, but not required). •Must possess complete set of hand tools for a heavy-duty truck mechanic. •Reliable and detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. •Good decision making ability and problem solving skills. •Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. •Must be able to lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds and work from heights of up to 13' 2" or in areas where climbing or a ladder is required. •Must have a good driving record with the ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
