Of all rock and roll bands, Jews of all affiliations seem to have a special affinity for the Grateful Dead. What draws Jews to the Dead’s music, lyrical themes/philosophy, and experience?
Come join a new fun online seminar: "Grateful Jews -- Jewish connections to the world of the Grateful Dead." Beyond the explorations, the class is a wonderful way to connect with other Deadhead Jews.
"Grateful Jews" takes Kabbalah's Four Worlds approach:
* Physical -- Jews in the Grateful Dead universe
* Intellectual -- Songs and lyrics with Jewish content and themes
* Emotional -- Jewish connections to/in Dead culture, and vice versa
* Spiritual -- The Grateful Dead experience
There's a lot to delve into, so the class is 2 sessions of 2 hours each. (4 hours -- like a good Dead show.) It presents images, music, and interviews. Class size is limited, to allow more interaction.

A bit about your seminar leader Reb Zisha: I've got a B.A. in Jewish Studies, an Ed.M., and I've been a lay ba'al tefilla and teacher in Boston's Jewish community and beyond for decades. Former singer with the Zamir Chorale of Boston, Mikveh Guide at Mayyim Hayyim, and expert in software and applications training.
