Looking to join a church band as a bass player

Hello, I'm looking to join a band for a church. I'm not religious, but I don't expect to get paid. I just want a regular gig so that I can become more disciplined in playing bass. I've been playing for a number of years and can slowly read music. I don't know any church music but could learn them I'm sure. lmk
