LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION, CREW MEMBER (Portland Metro) Compensation: D.O.E. Starting at $16.00 DOE + HIRING BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS Employment type: Full-time Grasstains is a landscape design and build company that has been growing rapidly since our inception. We have a passion for making outdoor spaces great, no matter how small or large a project. We want to continue building our company with passionate, dynamic, caring and creative hard-workers. We are looking for a self-starter who works extremely well in team-settings for a common goal. Grasstains is looking for new seasonal crew members to add to our team. Crew members will be working in a team setting taking direction from the Production Managers and Crew Foreman. Qualified Candidates Must: Have a willingness to work and the ability to take direction- Have reliable transportation to arrive at our shop and/or job site- Be able to lift up to 60 pounds and operate a variety of hand tools and power equipment- Be able to work continuously for an 8-10 hour day, with appropriate break periods- Have the ability to multi-task- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and via emails and/or text with co-workers, managers, and occasionally clients- Personal attributes need to include a strong sense of character, great work ethic, and a positive "make it happen" type mentality- Posses a valid driver's license and insurable driving record- Useful or applicable work experience desired (but not required): - Planting and/or plant ID - Outdoor carpentry including fences, decks, arbors/pergolas - Irrigation experience - Low voltage lighting experience - Stone masonry experience - Ability to drive large truck and trailer - Other landscaping experience including sod installation, maintenance, or clean-up Due to company growth, there is a potential for the seasonal position to transition into a full-time crew position.
