What's your ideal way to obtain complete relaxation (other than drugs or alcohol)? This is quite subjective, but some would say a draped massage, some might say sun bathing, others might say on the beach, a sexual experience, or sitting in the woods. Studies, research, and methods of effective integrative health would suggest outdoor yoga, tai chi, or mediation due to the power and peace of nature.
I'd like to try guided mediation in the outdoors to implement the environment on relaxation and healing of the body and mind.
I am a counselor with a double masters. I also have a PhD in Psychology. I'd be interested in finding someone, preferred to have minimal experience with meditation, that would be willing, able, and open to try a few guided meditations sessions in the seclusion of nature. I am expected to chat and mingle prior several times to build trust and ensure its going to be a good match (i might not be comfortable with or you might not be comfortable with me!) A word on Ethics: Counselors and therapists haver the freedom to introduce and try new practices/applications of methods to volunteers or participants if it holds potential to increase their effectiveness in their own practice or enhances their general awareness.
