We are a certified organic vegetable farm in operation since 2004, and distribute our produce exclusively to our CSA membership. We are looking for full-time, part season help (May-August/September). The Field Crew works 8 hours/day, 5 days/week.
The Field Crew is involved in nearly all aspects of organic vegetable production: seeding, transplanting, cultivation, weeding, crop maintenance as well as distribution to, and interaction with, our membership. Folks applying for the Field Crew position should be physically fit, able to lift 60 pounds, and ready to work in all weather conditions (extreme heat, rain, cold). A positive attitude and commitment to hard work are necessary to work successfully with our small crew (3-5 people).
Field Crew workers can expect a challenging and highly rewarding experience over the course of a full growing season. They will gain a well-rounded understanding of a for-production for-profit certified organic CSA produce farm. Compensation starts at $12/hour, DOE, and includes a CSA share size of your choice.
