Much like the typical person today you are better at complaining than looking for solutions. If you are having this trouble maybe look at who you are hanging with. I've lived here my entire life (50 years) and never once felt mylife was threatened or I was in danger. Like any city of this size there are parts of town you just stay out of. It is not any different than Dallas, Phoenix, Denver. Maybe you would be happier there.
