Description
This girl is in need of a new home! She has a very crazy personality, and likes to remodel her cage and chew on everything (literally) she needs to go to an experienced pet owner or to someone who knows a lot about chinchillas. They require a special setup, diet, and so many more things. They can’t have plastic, bonding with a chinchilla takes time & patience. She does like being pet (sometimes). She does get crazy zoomies when she is allowed to play outside of her cage in an enclosed & chinchilla proofed area. She will climb all over you as well, getting her back in her cage is a struggle sometimes though. She can only have certain treats a few times a week and required dust baths every two to three days. Whoever gets her will also need to invest in some metal bass pans for her cage, as she just eats up the plastic ones and removes the special fleece we have covering it. Anti pill plush fleece is best to use, but I’ve learned overtime it’s pretty unsanitary and using metal stainless steal bass pains or aspen bedding is best. Kiln dried pine ledges are expensive but are what they can have in the cage or metal ledges which are cheaper. There many certain woods she can and can’t have as well. So far we haven’t been able to find another female chinchilla that she likes. She is very picky. She would do fine by herself though. She will come with many chew toys, some food, hay, her big critter nation cage, many fleece sets, her food and water dishes, carrier, Timothy hay bungalow and dust. You will need to provide a dust bath for her. Also chinchillas must have a temperature lower than 65 degrees. I recommend an ac for summer time. They can overheat easily and die. Again if you aren’t an experienced owner or aren’t willing to give her the best home please do not contact me! I will be very picky on who she goes to. There will be a rehome fee. Message me if you’re interested. Located in Albany Oregon.
