Musicians needed: The Royal Straight Flush in Hearts Band The following consummate professional musicians are needed; all must have a minimum of five years gig experience, at least twice per week, and three verifiable professional references. Absolutely no illegal drug use or alcoholic behavior will be tolerated; under pain of immediate dismissal. Cannabis is fine; as is moderate alcohol consumption; but, please don’t show up stoned or drunk for performances. We need lead, rhythm and bass guitarists, sax/clarinet, trombone, trumpet or cornet players, a flautist, electronic keyboard / synth player, a Dobro or pedal-steel guitarist, fiddler, claw-hammer-style banjo artist, conga/bongo drummer, harmonica, accordion (should be able to double on concertina), vibraphone/glockenspiel and mandolin players. All band members mustbe able to sing close harmony ala CSN&Y; and play from “fake books” when songs not already in our play list are requested; for instance, Broadway show tunes. Also in need of an experienced soundboard technician. All personnel mustbe willing to relocate to our private island during the first quarter of 2023. We will be the house band for the Princess Island Resort and Gambling Hall We’ll be playing two one-hour shows (with one ten minute break) each evening at 9 and 11 PM; and on weekends we’ll add an additional matinee in the band shell, which is located next to the main horizon pool. I’m Bob Edwards; the band leader and drummer. I have a Pearl ClearLite acrylic double bass kit, timbales, and roto-toms. The Resortprovides a pro sound engineer-designed U-shaped concert hall; PA system and speakers, stage lighting and effects, sound board, microphones, power distribution center, power and mike snakes. You provide your own instruments, amps, cables, stage monitors and headsets. Musicians will receive €15,000 per year in salary; plus tips and a renewable €5,000 credit line in the Gambling Halleach quarter, plus free accommodations for yourselves and your families in post and beam Polynesian lanai-style lodges. You’ll also get three meals per day in any of the Resort’srestaurants; except for The Goddess Pele Lava Rock Raw Bar, Chop-House and Steakhouse Soft drinks are complimentary; beers, wines and spirits are at our regular prices, less a 20% staff discount. Also included is access to all Princess Island Resortfacilities: 3 pools, clay and grass tennis courts, 2 18-hole Robert Trent Jones-designed golf courses, driving and chipping ranges, a practice putting green, sailboats sized from windsailers up to 30 foot diesel auxiliary cruisers, personal water craft, restored classic varnished mahogany Craft and Riva runabouts, water-jet propelled ski boats and waterskiing equipment, and outboard skiffs for fishing in the Princess Island Lagoon.
