Rex rabbits have a special fur that feels like velvet. They have been handled several times daily, are very sweet, curious, and cuddly! Rabbits are extremely easy to litter box train. These have been socialized with cats but I suspect they will also be fine with dogs as well. Your rabbit's diet should consist of mostly pellet food (from Tractor Supply, a Grain store, etc.). I use "Blue Seal Home Fresh Show Hutch Deluxe 17 Extruded Rabbit Feed" and also supply hay, grass, leaves, branches, and other seasonably available organic materials. Go easy on high glycemic fruits and veggies (apples, carrots, etc.) and limit those to 1/4 of the item per day as a treat. Lettuce has zero nutritional value. I will provide you with some transition food and please bring something to carry them home in. Contact me if you have any questions.
