Join YAM for our April Speaker Series, focused on Socialism, Communism, and other "isms" with Deacon Bob Waller! What does the Church say? Deacon Bob will be speaking about socialism, communism, and capitalism, focusing on their promises in the ideal, pros/cons of each, historical outcomes, and what the Church teaches about each of them. About Deacon Robert Waller (Deacon Bob): Deacon Bob a native of western Kentucky. He came to Colorado to attend the Air Force Academy and graduated in the class of 1972. He served 20 years in the Air Force, assigned to locations in California, Colorado, Michigan, Massachusetts, Virginia, and Germany. He was ordained a Permanent Deacon by Bishop Sheridan in 2006 & was released for service to the Archdiocese for the Military Services. He has been the deacon for the Air Force Academy’s Catholic Cadet Chapel Community since ordination. He and his wife of almost 44 years have been blessed with three children and nine grandchildren. This event is for young adults in the Colorado Springs area, age 18-39.
