Sculpt and Sip Particpants will create 3-dimensional busts using the medium of clay. Each student will get hands-on step-by-step training on the creation of a portrait/bust using his/her imagination. References are welcome but not needed.Media & Techniques:Students build ceramic Figures using self-hardening and air-dry clays. The workshop will takes place at the Creative house’s Outdoors Area. Students will become familiar with clay and learn a variety of beginner sculpting techniques. Instructor: Rasta Asaru is a professional sculptor and Founder of the Creative House Gallery. He has been a lifelong student of sculpture and professional artist for over 25 years in the field of Sculpture and fabrications with studies under Charles Dickson, Gregory Chainey, and influences John Otterbridge and Michael Chukes. Rasta is a self-taught artist with work that has been shown in galleries and museums nationally. Rasta as a founder of the Creative House Gallery now brings artist residency to Inglewood CA, with the intention of narrating a new creative path to young urban youths.
