Posters Note: It is a flu. Masks don't work. Vaccines don't prevent you from getting it. Vaccines are killing hundreds of people. So if you are watching TV and not researching for yourself...I feel sorry for you! By Sarah Reagan Director, Health Sciences Institute "COVID: I Caught Them! For months we've been warning you about some of the mainstream media's reporting about the coronavirus pandemic. Too often it's been pushing narratives, avoiding inconvenient facts, and not giving us the straight information we deserve. But I'm done telling you about it. Today I'm going to SHOW you what I consider rock-solid proof. You're about to see how a major media outlet handled a VERY important quote about the pandemic from one of the country's top health experts. And trust me... you'll never look at coronavirus reporting the same again. An interesting choice... In a recent article on rising coronavirus case numbers among children (and children are comparatively very low-risk, I might add), CNN included these quotes from former FDA Commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb. "What we're seeing is pockets of infection around the country, particularly in younger people who haven't been vaccinated, and also in school-aged children," former Food and Drug Administration commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb told CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday. "If you look at what's happening in Michigan, in Minnesota, in Massachusetts, for example, you're seeing outbreaks in schools and infections in social cohorts that haven't been exposed to the virus before." "The infection is changing its contours in terms of who's being stricken by it right now," he added. Sounds pretty bad, right? Even terrifying. And, of course, it would sound that way if you hadn't seen the actual "Face the Nation" interview or read the transcripts. But I did both. And here are the two sentences spoken by Gottlieb before CNN picked up his quotes: "So you have somewhere around 200 million Americans that have some level of immunity in them already. I think that there's enough immunity in the population that you're not going to see a true fourth wave of infection." Wait... you have the former FDA Commissioner saying that he doesn't believe there will be a true fourth wave? That seems pretty important to me. In fact, I'd consider it absolutely essential to understanding the context behind what Gottlieb was REALLY saying. And yet it was somehow not included in the CNN story (maybe they'll update it, though I have my doubts. As of the time I'm writing this, they have not). Interesting choice, right? I wonder why they would leave out this VITAL information. I certainly have my theories... and I'm sure you do, too. Now, I'm focusing on just one CNN story right now. But, friend, I see stuff like this every single day from lots of media outlets. And once you start seeing it, you can't stop seeing it. It's no wonder people don't know who to trust for information during this pandemic. So what's the solution? Well, we'll always be here to call out nonsense when we see it. So keep reading. But I also think it's really smart to look at original data from websites like the CDC's COVID Data Tracker (you can check that out here) and from your state health department. Is this data perfect? Of course not. And there's plenty of room for debate about which numbers are truly meaningful and how data is collected. But at least this way, you're getting your information straight from the horse's mouth, and you're minimizing your need to have someone interpret or spin the numbers for you. I wish it hadn't come to this... but I think we need to be our own fact-checkers now." To Your Health, Sarah Reagan Director, Health Sciences Institute
