The City of Searcy 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

The Searcy Fire Department has partnered with Harding University to honor those fallen on 9/11 through a Memorial Stair Climb. The Memorial Stair Climb is an oppertunity open to the community to remember the first responders who paid the ultimate sacrifice at Ground Zero. This event will include an opening cermony to honor the fallen and a 110 flight stair climb throughout the bleachers of First Security Stadium, in simulation of the stairs climbed at the Twin Towers. A 2,226 meter track walk will also be offered to commemorate the amount of steps climbed at the Twin Towers as a more family friendly option. The proceeds of The City of Searcy 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be donated to Next Rung, a foundation dedicated to supporting the mental health of first responders through peer support, a crisis hotline and professional counseling. https://www.nextrung.org
