Job description We are a small water proofing company that solves rain related leaks in commercial buildings. We have a 20 year track record of putting our clients at ease. Our business model is recession proof, cost effective for our clients, and profitable for us. Word of mouth and referrals ensure a steady stream of recurring revenue. You will become an expert at identifying, testing, and repairing defects. A defect expert. We use a repeatable common-sense approach to source even the most difficult leaks. We not only find the defect, but we are also the best option for repairing it. We craft the highest quality repairs and are totally focused on our client’s needs and desires. You’ll love the diverse buildings and repairs; each day is unique. Our clients are the cream of the crop building owners and property managers. Projects can take hours or last for weeks. You will be or will become a true craftsman, working with sealants, roof repair materials, smaller concrete repairs, and replacement of waterproofing assemblies. Effectively anywhere water enters a building involves you. Once you prove you make good decisions, you will be free of micro-management. You’ll have a chance to exercise your personal and communication skills with tenants, clients, building engineers, and your associates. Problem solving and general construction knowledge/experience will give you the edge we’re looking for. The fun part of our business is the variety of projects we may do. Nothing is off the table for our customers to request. You must be able to climb ladders and operate construction tools and equipment. We compensate our technicians in numerous ways: - Annual salary paid every two weeks. We’ve tried the hourly rate, and, because of inevitable work ebb/flow, our technicians much prefer salary. Salary will be based on experience and tangibles. - Health insurance – after 90 days you’re eligible for our health insurance plan. We pay 50% of your monthly premium. - If you pass muster as a leader, we’ll provide you with a service truck that you can use between home and work. - On the job training. Better than decent opportunity for advancement. Please submit your resume and a cover letter. In many respects, what you write in your cover letter is more important than the data in your resume. Tell us about yourself and what makes you tick. Why are you going to be an asset to our team?
