Description
I have to rehome my almost two year old Doberman. He is up to date on shots. Very friendly and good with kids but he is an escape artist. I’m on bedrest for the rest of my pregnancy and have been for the past month and a half and he can open doors and deadbolts and has been escaping. I live right by a walking trail and he escapes and goes down the trail and runs with people(he just wants to run with them and play) but because of his breed people are afraid of him and have reported him to animal control. I can’t get out of bed to chase after him anymore and he always finds a way out. He’s too heavy for me to lift into a kennel and I can’t chase after him anywhere. He would love a place where he could have a lot of space to roam. I am also right by a main road and he likes to run in the street and I’m afraid he will get hit by a car. I put him in boarding for awhile so he wouldn’t keep escaping since I can’t go after him but I can’t afford it anymore and won’t be able to for another few months. He’s only been back two days and has already almost got hit by a car twice. He loves kids, cats and other dogs but he will need an owner who has patience with him or land to roam, or someone who could keep up with his energy by taking him on bike rides etc. It’s just something I am unable to do now and if he continues to stay with me he is going to end up taken by animal control or hit by a car.
