Description
I need to get my landscaping back into shape after this winter. :) Last time I did all the work myself and purchased the plants through a wholesaler to avoid the retail markup. This time around I'm planning to save some time by hiring you. :) Still won't pay retail for the plants though -- please quote me the wholesale rate for the plants and I'll pay 20% over. Lawn and landscaped area is about 5000sqft. I figure we'll need 2 days if you've only got a small team; one day if you've got a full crew. Shopping list: - 1 yard topsoil - 1 yard mulch (texas native hardwood) - 15 asparagus fern, (1-5 gallon) (foxtail) - 16 artemisia, (1 gallon) (Silvermound, “Powis Castle”, Wormwood, Mugwort) - 60 webberville sedge - 14 bamboo muhly (1-3 gallon) (Muhlenbergia dumosa) Trees: - Trim off buds and branches and anything dead below 7 feet Irrigation: - Use hoe to scrape out trough and rebury drip hoses that have come up to the surface - Use stakes (~90) to anchor drip hoses throughout the 4 flower beds Weeds: - pull out all weeds by the root throughout yard, flower beds, and masonry - spray herbicide on all masonry, rock partitions, driveway, and paving stones where weeds were seen Dead plants - If completely dead, dig out the root system - If alive, trim away the dead parts Street lower: - Pull out existing half-dead grasses (they never grew well) - Dig deeper base for them and add plenty of soil - Plant bamboo muhly along street - Plant artemisia in corner Street upper: - Position 6-10 ~30lb boulders to anchor topsoil (have plenty of boulders on site) - Spread topsoil where there has been erosion or soil is rocky - Plant artemisia Lower lawn beds: - Plant all webberville sedge - Remove 7 dead asparagus ferns, and replant Upper beds: - Plant remaining artemisia and aspargus ferns Back area (behind fence): - Pull out weeds that are within 3 inches of the grass border - Spray herbicide 3-inches Debris (I have about 5 yards of debris that needs to be hauled off): - lots of brush - old swingset - leftover wood - leftover masonry Cleanup: - Rake the yard and blow the driveway and street to leave everything looking great. Thanks! Darren
