Description

I am rehoming my bull terrier mix named Gunner. We adopted him after seeing him on the SAPA kill list about a month ago. Since adopting him, we have been working with him to socialize him with other dogs. My family has two older chihuahuas that do not like Gunner, which has led to them getting into a couple of small scraps with Gunner. Gunner is a sweet dog with people, but he is still a puppy that has not completely socialized with other dogs yet. My family is worried that Gunner may injure one of our smaller dogs if we keep him. Because of this, we have decided to rehome him. Gunner is 42lbs, neutered, and up to date on all of his shots. He would do be in a home with other dogs of a similar size. He is pretty good in a dog crate and should be crated when not supervised. We have been having him sleep in the crate at night and he has done pretty well with that. If Gunner is around other dogs, he should only be fed in a dog crate because he still has some food aggression around other dogs. His food aggression may be linked with him coming from the dog shelter. He has no aggression towards people. He loves to chew on chew toys, but he will also chew on shoes if left unattended while he is unsupervised. He is not all the way potty trained yet. We have been in the process of potty training him and he has made progress. He will need more work to become completely potty trained. He is pretty good when walking him on a leash and enjoys going on walks. Overall, Gunner is a sweet dog and a big puppy. He just doesn’t realize that he is as big as he is. A $25 rehoming fee applies. He will come with a collar with his name on it, a leash, a couple of dog toys, and his vet records. Please contact me with any questions. 808 - three eight six - 02 five two.
