Cohasse Country Club in Southbridge, MA is assembling this season's golf course maintenance staff. We are looking to fill both full and part time Groundskeeper's positions. The work includes all facets of golf course care; mowing of all playing surfaces with motorized and walking mowers. spring and fall clean-up, bunker and planting bed maintenance along with scheduled cultural practices and construction projects. Whether or not you have previous experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping or utilizing mowing equipment, we can train the most desirable candidates. If you take pride in your work,are coachable, like to see instant results from your efforts, can work in a detailed environment alone or working in a group, this position may interest you. Wage increases are available after successfully completing a trial period and evaluation. We are a seven day a week operation, which requires staffers to work alternating weekend mornings (3 hours Saturday / 3 hours Sunday) along with the normal weekday shifts. This is a department whose assignments require detailed, thorough and productive attention. It is a service industry laborers position. You can expect daily to perform assignments that will require a fair amount of walking, frequent and light to heavy lifting, using hand tools and mechanized (motorized) equipment. This is an outdoor job. You will work in the entire range of weather throughout the season. We can promise you, in a good way, that every day on the job site will be different. Playing golf is not a requirement but is helpful in the learning curve. Playing privileges are available. We encourage our staff to sample the results of their efforts.
