COMPANY: Paul Davis Restoration of North Chicago JOB DESCRIPTION: MITIGATION TECHNICIAN SUMMARY: The Mitigation Technician assists in the obligations of Paul Davis Restoration of North Chicago through the delivery of emergency and restoration services. REPORTS TO: Mitigation Manager & Lead Technician WORK TO BE PERFORMED IN THIS POSITION: Responding to emergency water damage calls, fire / smoke damage, hail / storm damage calls, mold inspections / mitigations, demolition call outs, and any other related mitigation work that the company is contracted to provide. IICRC Certifications for Mitigation Technician (www.iicrc.org) Mitigation Technicians must obtain IICRC certifications when classes are available in the following categories: • Water Restoration Technician (WRT) • Applied Structure Drying (ASD) • Fire & Smoke Technician (FST) • Applied Microbial Remediation (PDR Certification) • Carpet & Upholstery Technician (CRT) • Contents Processing Technician (CPT) • Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TRST) Responsibilities/Tasks • Performs any and all directives from the Owner or Lead Mitigation Technician. • Responds to emergency losses as provided by our insurance carrier partners. • Performs Emergency Water Extraction and Drying Services. • Assists in Emergency Fire/Smoke Services. • Assists in Mold Remediation (including demolition and cleaning). • Assists in Carpet/Upholstery Cleaning. • Performs on-call rotation as needed. • Performs basic truck, equipment and building maintenance. • Able to climb a ladder. • Able to lift at least 75 pounds. • Able to work in confined spaces. • Able to work around a variety of chemicals without any adverse reaction or sensitivity.   PERFORMANCE STANDARDS FOR THIS POSITION 1. All work processes and policies will be documented. 2. All work will be performed according to the documentation. 3. All work will be performed in accordance with the laws and regulations in the jurisdictions in which Paul Davis Restoration of North Chicago operates. 4. All work will be performed according to company policies, and up to Paul Davis Restoration of North Chicago standards. 5. All work will be performed in accordance with safety regulations pertaining to this work. 6. Customers will be treated in a courteous and professional manner. All communication with customers will be informative and courteous. 7. Employees will ALWAYS wear a company uniform in good repair when representing the company. 8. Employees will behave in a professional and mature manner when representing this company. (NO profanity, NO horseplay, etc.) 9. All job related documentation will be brought up to date daily and placed in the proper location according to the next action to be taken. 10. Company equipment and vehicles will be kept neat, clean, and in working order at all times.
