LAST HOPE - Adoptive home needed for female senior pup - Peanut

Events

Clayton NC

Description

Peanut is a 10 year old female Beagle/Pitbull mix surrendered by her owner due to a no pets allowed new housing situation. Her owners lived in Kentucky prior to moving to North Carolina, and they had stopped at a shelter to look at the available pets. As they came into the shelter, Peanut was walking the Green Mile because of her age - she was 8 at the time. They decided to adopt her which saved her life. Peanut is housebroken, loves to snuggle in the bed or on the couch. Peanut is very protective of children and also seems to buddy up with males. Watch out - Peanut will help herself to dinner on the counter or leftovers in the trash if you aren’t looking. Female Spayed - Heartworm tested a few months ago - negative test results. She is current on her rabies. Needs to be the only dog in the home with no other dogs or cats. Her foster Mom forgot the family cat was in the bedroom with Peanut and when she checked on her to remove the cat, the family dog, Sammee, who is also not good with any other dogs, got into an altercation with Peanut resulting in the foster Mom being bitten. Please help us find a home for her. Peanut deserves a second chance. She is available and must be placed by April 24th. Cell phone is best contact for immediate response .
