This is going to be a long post. This dog will only go to a trainer, or someone who can prove they can work with him. I got him because he is a littermate of my dog and I couldnt see him go to just anyone. About Krypto: He is 1 year and 2 months old, Born 02/03/2020. Male, unaltered German Shepherd. He came from a situation where he wasnt exactly told no, so we are working through A LOT of little things. He is so sweet and has so much potential, but he needs a JOB. Pros: -Very smart, picks up on things quickly -Food motivated -Very willing and wants to please -Sweet and good with other dogs. -Has been exposed to cats but working on boundaries. -Walks pretty good on a leash (needs more work but doing well) -Potty trained -Good about fences, doesnt jump them -Doesnt dig -Great in the car -Understands 'no'. -Not food aggressive -Very playful just needs help on his manners. -Not destructive -Not too vocal Cons: -Still nips like a puppy (but getting better and more consistent about thinking before biting) -Humps, but getting better about not. -Very energetic but with exercise he calms down some. -Not great at recall -Barely knows his name -Decent about going into his kennel, but needs improvement. I will be VERY picky where he goes. I WILL check references. I need one (1) vet reference, two (2) personal references, and AT LEAST one (1) other animal related reference. He would be best suited with someone who is experienced with German Shepherds (just owning one doesnt count, you have to be actually able to handle the dog). Or a trainer who wants a good before and after, because I KNOW he will be amazing. Small rehoming fee to insure a good home, he will come UTD on shots.
