Denver CO
Description
We all know that COVID has taken a toll on college students. You have been robbed of the last semester, the job market is not fantastic, and if you were planning to go back in the fall originally, now you may be questioning everything. If any of this rings true, I’d like to talk to you about a different option. In 1990, I graduated from high school, and while going through college I started a painting business back in the suburbs of Chicago. For four years I ran that painting business and my dad told me, “...now Nick, you're going to college so you don’t have to paint the rest of your life.” I have now run Walls by Design for 21 years in Denver and have one of the most successful painting businesses in the country. I love my job, I love my team, and I have loved building a business that takes care of its customers and it’s team. Why am I telling you this? If you have read to this point, you are looking for something different. At Walls by Design, we like to train painters from the ground up. If you are trainable, you can make about $40k in your first 12 months, and more in your second year (most of our painters make over $50k/year). Can you do that with a college degree in your first few years studying business, or humanities, teaching, or art? Don't get me wrong, education is important, but the cost of going to school and not working creates a huge hole for your to dig out of. And with online schooling, you could work full-time, and do school part-time, and avoid going into debt. If you are interested at all, please send me a resume and a cover letter. I want to know your story, I just told you mine. Why have you read this? It’s not the typical ad on Craigslist. What interests you about this opportunity? What are your goals and aspirations? I read tons of applications, but why should I talk to you? There is too much vanilla and sameness out there. Tell me what makes you unique and different. The job is paid training, we have health insurance, and PTO, bonus plan (blah, blah, blah). But what you really want is an opportunity to thrive in a place that challenges you and gives you an opportunity to grow, and make a real income and thrive! Would love to hear from you. Don’t forget contact info. Feel free to Google us, but please only respond to this ad. I will not take calls on this.
