Like your other memes, the statements made on this one are false. First, the US is both a democracy and a republic. The terms are not mutually exclusive. Second, Ben Franklin never made that statement.
It's a shame that you didn't pay more attention during civics class, or during US history... perhaps you were homeschooled.
