I did notice that you never mentioned the profit that the Romans, the first capitalistic democracy, took from slavery although you mention the universal truth that Greed is the root of all evil. (Roman) Also the profit taken from the transport and sale of slaves, both black and white, as the first slaves brought to this country were Irish white slaves who the British considered less than dogs. Also white and black slaves who were treated as bad or worse by the Tripoli Pirates (Arabic) aka: Barbary Corsairs. The most well known pirate at that time(1600) was Aruj Barbarossa a cruel North African who had no regard for life and enslaved humans for profit. The English would throw starving slaves overboard because, Lloyds of London Insurance Co. would not pay for starved slaves but on the other hand would pay for drowned slaves. Also you might have overlooked the white slaves delivered into the hands of the Northern Colonist's by Oliver Cromwell between 1641 and 1652 because they were more acceptable than black skinned slaves who were imported to the less discriminating French Colonies in the southern territories. (New Orleans) So to sum it up, the American colonies were not the only slave traders at the time, but were caught up in the profit taking that was dominate all over the world. If black people are due reparation's, then maybe we all at one time or another, having slave ancestry in our past should also be given reparation.
