Request for pricing labor: Looking for remodeling help in early August, Land-o-Lakes. New owner, residential, plan to redesign house before moving in, so house will be almost completely empty. House built 2008. Design Details: Need roughly 650 sq ft of porcelain tile installed, including sealer. Materials with all supplies will be onsite. Currently carpet is in place. Can have that separately removed or can become part of the job. If part of the job, I expect the carpet to removed from property. Size of the tiles will be 24X24 sq ft or larger. Tiles have not been selected yet. Tile cutting will be necessary. For this you will need your own equipment. Wall painting with texturing will be done beforehand. For the jack-of-all-trades, that work can be included in the job. I have not even looked into that yet; but again all supplies will be onsite. I am hoping to find a few good workers that are multi-skilled. After this work is complete, the pool area and lanai need to be expanded and redone with tile, ec. That will be going into September/October. Plans are not concrete other than that will be redone. For certain. Right now, I’m fishing. I am not asking you to price this. How could you? What I’d like is sample work, with rough labor cost on what you did. That will work for now. I also need to know what you can do: e.g., both paint and tile? Rather than an overall bid, I can also work with an hourly rate, but I’ll need to know more about your skills and experience. Not looking for the cheapest. Looking for good yet reasonable. That means not interested in Homedepot pros because paying a cut to the corporation and no overlap in work.. In either case a resume would be nice and it can be real rough like a few sample pictures, your name and years of experience and, most importantly, multitasking ability: can you remove carpet, paint, texturize walls, lay tile,… I pay in cash unless preferred otherwise. I will pay in cash in proportions to work completed. For example, if tiles are cut, one room is complete I will pay a proportion of the total unless preferred otherwise.
