A masked and socially distanced event to fill our 32 new planters on 1st Street! The BCA Beautification Committee invites you to an extra special annual beautification event on May 1st, 2021 at 8:30 AM - the filling of 32 new planters on 1st street. At 10:30 AM volunteers are encouraged to join the Mayor for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 1st and U Street NW. This special beautification event will focus on filling the planters with flowers and plants along First Street, NW to make Bloomingdale’s main corridor safer and more beautiful. This event is a masked and socially distanced outdoor gathering. Please keep safe! Interested? Meet at the park in front of Big Bear Cafe at 8:30 AM on May 1st, 2021 to pick-up supplies.
