We have chosen the date of September 18th, 2021. The event will be held at the Elite Banquet and Conference Center located at 2820 S Lafountain St, Kokomo, IN 46902. The planning committee wanted to do a catered event to celebrate the 40 years since we graduated from Western Hight School Friday evening, September 17th, 2021, at 7:00 pm. will be the homecoming game against Hamilton Heights at Western High School near Russiaville. We will gather earlier for tailgating at approximately 5:30 pm in the parking lot near the football field (more details on exact location to follow). During the game we will sit in the bleachers at the north end of the field. Following the game, classmates are welcome to gather at Ned’s corner Pub. Saturday morning, a golfing event will take place. There will be more details regarding this posted on the WHS Class of 1981 Facebook page, or you can contact Tom Hayes. We are hoping additional events are planned for Saturday as we continue to move toward our reunion date. (insert other events here) Saturday evening, at 6:00 p.m., the actual main event will start at the Banquet Center. Drinks will be included in the per person price from 6-8 and from 8-10 we will have a cash bar. (Insert dinner and drink details here as well as cost and RSVP) Those who went to school with us, but left town before graduation are welcome, as well as alumni from other WHS classes. While we are not announcing broadly that we are inviting other classes we are open to anyone that wants to attend to visit with us. We will need to consider the fact that this is a catered event based on a price per person as we invite others. We are all looking forward to seeing each other once again and rekindling memories of our youth. We are hoping for a good turnout and it starts with you. Spread the word to other classmates and let them know what is going on, just in case we cannot find everyone. An RSVP form is located at the end of this letter. Please complete the necessary information on the form and send a $50 per person payment for your dinner, drinks, cost of venue, etc. This will be the only mailing via US mail.
