An outdoor, social-distanced festival including the university choirs, bands, orchestra, and chamber ensembles
North Park University invites you to our campus to celebrate Earth Day outside with numerous musical ensembles. Modeled after an outdoor music festival or prism concert, the same program will be offered on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, beginning at 4:30pm and lasting roughly 2 hours.
Ensembles will be featured in numerous spots in the heart of the beautiful North Park Campus beginning in Anderson Chapel and moving outdoors to the Library Circle and a “Main Stage” erected just for these performances. Audiences are encouraged to stroll through and catch as many performances as they would like. A digital link for the schedule and performance information will be provided, and some paper programs will be available for those who might need them.
Featured ensembles performing live will include the North Park University Orchestra, Concert Band, Choir Women’s Chorale, Jazz Band, Jazz Combos, Chamber Choir, Instrumental Chamber Ensembles, and the Gospel Choir with members of the Oakdale Christian Academy Choir as special guests.
Pre-recorded videos showcasing students in the opera program will also be played in Anderson Chapel.
The event is free and open to the public. More information can be found on the School of Music, Art, and Theatre Events and Facebook pages.
