MANY BELIEVE THAT THE OCEAN HAS THE POWER TO HEAL, SURFING WAVES IS ONE FORM USED TO HELP PEOPLE WITH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AmpSurf™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established to Promote, Inspire, Educate, and Rehabilitate (PIER) all people with disabilities and their families through adaptive surfing and other outdoor activities. Operation Restoration is a 4 day retreat open to anyone who has served in the US Military. Hosted on the Central Coast, California all participants are treated to a variety of ocean activities including Surfing/Learning-to-surf, Kayaking, Stand Up Paddle Board tours and Outrigger Paddling. All activities are closely supervised by competent water men and woman. A very special part of this years Operation Restoration proceedings will be a traditional surfers memorial Paddle-out to honor those who gave their lives on 9/11 . AmpSurf provides all necessary surfing/paddling and SUP equipment, wetsuits and PFD's. Beach access wheelchairs and trained transition teams are available if required.
