Hey all you parents out there, my name is Ashley and I absolutely adore little babies and toddlers! my two daughters are teenagers now and I have to say I desperately miss having a little tiny newborn to carry around and snuggle or a toddler to teach their "one two threes" and ABC's. I am an old school type of caregiver you could say. I don't believe in having my cell phone around while I'm watching the children or just sitting the kids in front of the TV or anything like that. I interact with the kids the entire time I'm watching them. I hate when people leave babies just sitting in their swing or crib or what not. Personally I think it's not good for them so I prefer to carry them around and interact with them all day. I guess a lot of people would find that a chore but I find it quite the opposite!! I truly just really love babies and toddlers because they have so much to learn at that time in their life and they're so excited for each new thing that they can learn and take in. For toddlers at the appropriate age I love to do arts and crafts that center around teaching them letters and numbers as well as of course reading wholesome books and playing pretend for children who are that age and like that type of thing. I also try to teach the toddler about good manners and cleaning up after themselves as much as possible so that the house is not a disaster for mom and dad when they come home after a long day. The only thing I'm guilty of is sometimes there does tend to be a lot of laundry at the end of the day because I can't stand when a baby is left being wet or soiled for more than a few seconds. but sometimes changing a baby after every time they spit up or get a little bit of dribble on themselves can wind up with a ton of laundry at the end of the day!!! LOL. But who would want to sit around in their wet clothes all day? I know I wouldn't and I'm sure none of you guys would as well so I can't imagine any babies would like it either... but I don't mind taking care of the laundry for the parents so that they don't have to come home and do it. Anyways I'm 34 years old, Caucasian. I have two teenage daughters of my own. I'm divorced and remarried. My husband works as a truck driver so he is gone a good amount of the time. And I’m blessed not to have to work at this point in my life. So I decided that the best way to spend my time would be babysitting for an awesome family or two!! I totally understand parents wanting their children to be watched at their home rather than at my home and I am totally fine with that. I can travel to and from your house to watch the children. If it's a situation where you need them to come to my house that's totally fine as well. I have a beautiful home near Boulder and Tropicana in a very nice and safe neighborhood but again I have no problem traveling to your house wherever that may be. I'm really not trying to make any sort of monetary profit from this. I'm basically just trying to help out families in need of the extra help that can’t afford it right now. I also truly believe that babies and toddlers teach us as much as we teach them. Children are our most precious gift and they deserve to be cared for by someone who finds spending time with them super rewarding. So if this sounds like something that you would be interested in please give me a text and perhaps we can get together to see if the kids and I get along and if it's a good match. Right now I'm looking for something part-time more so than full-time but I'm open to anyone that needs me. I am also very respectful of the parenting style that you the parents have and definitely make it a priority to follow any guidelines thst you may have the your children. Another side note because I think this is important- I am extremely religious and my faith and love in Jesus Christ is evident in my everyday life. I would never try to push my religion onto anyone who does not want it or is not welcome to it but it is natural for me to speak about the gospel or about Jesus in my day-to-day life. so if you as the parents are not okay with that then please know this would probably not be a good fit. I hope that doesn't sound weird. please know that I would never want anyone to think I would push my religion on to them or their kids because I absolutely would not. it's just that my faith is very important to me and so people of like-minded Faith may work out the best but again I'm open to all situations. feel free to contact me anytime.
