Description

Share wine, poetic lines, and positive vibes at The Bakehouse Art Complex in Wynwood for National Poetry Month. All levels welcome. Learn to write different forms of poetry in this relaxing low-stakes creative writing workshop celebrating National Poetry MonthWhat to Expect:We will begin with a discussion with what poetry is to you. Then you'll be led through a series of fun writing activities to get your creative juices flowing. Then you'll be guided through the process of penning different types of poems. We take breaks to sip and share, but sharing what you write is always optional. At the close of the workshop, you'll contribute to a collaborative poem that will be sent to you after the event. You'll start with nothing and leave with at least two completed poems and the tools to create more. You can enjoy a glass of red or white or bring a bottle of your favorite to share. Non-alcoholic beverage will be available. The best part: You'll walk away with inspiration and a few new friends after our time together. This workshop is for you if you can answer yes to any of the following: 1. You are creative or want to be more creative 2. You like wine, you like writing, or both Note: We will be safely social distanced. Masks required inside. Yolande Clark-Jackson is the host and creator of Wine Down and Write.
