Join Lorrimer Sanctuary Director and other birders as we talk a bit about bird biology and behavior as we observe our birds! DESCRIPTION: Grab your binoculars, and head out to Lorrimer for some beginner birding! Whether you’re brand new to the hobby or you’d like to sharpen your skills, this course is open to collaborative birders. We will take some time to discuss the frequent visitors to the birdfeeders, and walk through the woodlands to search for our spring migrants! We will walk up to 1 mile, over generally level terrain. This workshop may also include a change of location (within a 5 minute drive), depending on weather and birds on the day. COST: $10 members, $12 nonmembers. NEW JERSEY AUDUBON'S PROGRAM GUIDELINES: New Jersey Audubon field trips and programs adhere to CDC guidelines; leaders have the right to ask a participant to leave the program if someone is not adhering to these guidelines for the health and safety of all. Leaders and participants must wear face coverings throughout the program and maintain social distancing (at least 6’ of separation). Leaders may remove their face covering in order to be heard by the group while maintaining social distance. Please do not come to a program if you are sick or have a sick family member. There will be no sharing of equipment including binoculars or spotting scopes. ***If you have spent time in a state that appears on New Jersey’s Travel Advisories, we request that you do not attend the program and will provide a full refund.*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Dress for the weather. This program is entirely outdoors. CANCELLATION: : NJ Audubon’s programs require a minimum number of registrants to run. If we cancel, due to lack of participation, severe weather, or unforeseen circumstances, all participants will be notified as soon as possible and are eligible for a full refund. Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 48 hours in advance. Sorry, no refund for cancellations less than 48 hours in advance unless due to health emergencies; however registrations can be transferred to another program in the future.
