Landscaping & Maintenance on a Horse Farm

Looking for a mature, happy & physically fit person to do routine maintenance on a lovely horse training farm in the Pisgah Forest. This job is full time and will be 5 or 5 & 1/2 days a week. We need help cleaning horse stalls starting at 7am. After that, you will mow, weed eat, fix fence, do landscaping, do basic carpentry work and/or simple maintenance of farm equipment (tractor, skid steer, etc.) It is not required that you have a lot of horse experience, but please be able to work safely around animals in their stalls. If you do have some past horse experience: we always need help grooming, bathing, or moving horses from barn to pasture. We are a group of nice people who like to laugh while we work. We do this job because we love the horses. We are happy to teach those who want to learn. This job does not pay a lot, but includes housing off the farm, about 10 minutes away. It is a shared house, but you will have your own room and bathroom. Unfortunately, if you live locally and decide NOT to live in the house we can maybe pay you a little bit more, but not much.
