You drove in from Austin for a crawfish boil. We met and talked and I feel like an idiot typing this out. This pandemic has seen me stowed away, talking to such a limited number of people, that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to mix minds with strangers. You are quick and bright, but not without a pinch of cynicism that comes from looking under the bonnet of our world. I don’t want anything to come of this post, nor should I expect anything would. I just want to say, I enjoyed meeting you. I wanted to find every excuse to look into your hazel eyes over and over, no matter how dumb the conversation I was dreaming up actually was.
