Position Title: Head Housekeeper Department: EVS Exempt Status: Non-Exempt Supervisor: EVS Director Wage: $13-14 per hour dependent on experience Shift: Sunday through Thursday day shift GENERAL SUMMARY: Head Housekeeper is a working lead and is responsible to train and observe assigned employees in the Environmental Services in all assigned areas of Dallas Retirement Village. Communicates directly with the Director of Environmental Services. Working approximately 4 days per week on the floor and approximately 4 to 8 hours completing other tasks as assigned by Direct Supervisor. Essential Job Duties: Train housekeeping staff in various areas of the DRV campus. Coordinates Housekeeping Services in some areas of campus including health Center and Assisted Living. Assist in developing and maintaining well-trained housekeeping personnel. Ensures that department personnel follow department policies and utilize equipment and supplies effectively. Communicates concerns with the Director of Environmental Services. Performs general housekeeping and laundry duties various areas of campus, such as: vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and kitchens, and dusting of all cleared flat surfaces, completing laundry tasks as needed. Performs general housekeeping duties of hallways and common areas as directed by DES Accomplishes all work in the order of priority set by DES. Reports necessary work orders for maintenance and floor care staff to the proper staff so that work orders may be put into the worx system properly. OTHER DUTIES: Maintains all equipment and supplies in proper condition. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by DES.Maintains resident confidentiality at all times. Assists in training and inspection of assigned areas of campus Tests and evaluates new products to improve efficiencies when requested. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Attend monthly in- service training. Attend Staff Meetings. Obey all safety rules and procedures. Be courteous and polite at all times.
